West Ham Boxing Club's team got a Magnificent Seven champions at the National Junior Championships 2021, which has been running since 1930s and is "a breeding ground for some of the country’s future boxing stars".
Here are the names of our winners:
Harry Penny - (our longest serving current member) has been at West Ham since he was 6 years old, and this day achieved what he always wanted: to be on the Board of Honour alongside the teammates he has grown up with at the club
Frank Middleton is also a long-standing member of the club who started at West Ham at a very young age.
Our other Champion Boxers were:
Josh Jarvis , Charlie Brown, Luke Rodda, Riley Murray
...and finally Antony Connors who also has won European gold medal for Great Britain whilst at West Ham
Chris Penny, our current Head Coach, led this great team to such an amazing achievement—the first time the club has achieved 7 junior national champions. It is a credit to the head coach that the team was able to achieve something so historic.
Chris worked alongside our other coaches, Richie Hines, Charlie Brown, Jim Rafter & Jason Bull
