We've had a great year at West Ham Boxing Club with many epic battles and victories for our fighters. Here are some highlights.
In November we had a great Dinner Show which saw 6 out of the 7 winners for the home club. Some awards were handed out for "West Ham Boxing Club Lifetime Achievement" to Nigel Benn, Billy Walker and Jimmy Tibbs.
The "Mickey May Performance Award" was presented to our boxer Bradley Khan by Mickey's 2 daughter Karen and Danielle.
Riley Cannon won the National Development Championship.
Bradley Khan won the title of National Junior Champion. He fought at 38kg for West Ham Boxing Club. Bradley was nine years old when he joined West Ham Boxing Club and has worked his way up over the six years that he has been there. Bradley’s parents Mr & Mrs Khan told Newham Voices: “We are all super proud of him and this is only the beginning of his boxing career”.
Our very own Connor Mitchell won both the London NAC Finals and the NABGC Boxing Championships. Connor Mitchell is pictured here alongside his father Kevin Mitchell, a previous world title contender.
And finally, West Ham's Freddie Pullen was selected to box for England and won two international gold medals, at the Enrique Rodriguez championship and the Golden Gong Elite Mens Tournament, representing both our club and the whole country. Congratulations Freddie and all the West Ham boxers for a fantastic year!
